Two lines that have stuck with me all week:
Eric Samuelsen - “We sat in the room together and we shared something human. That’s all, and that’s enough. Art can sometimes be poorly executed or incompetently presented. But art cannot harm, and doing art is good. All the time. Always.”
Kristine Haglund - “People and creatures and stories become true and beautiful when they are beloved. We can believe in, and create beauty from ashes, because we are beloved of one whose Light cannot be comprehended by darkness.”

If it helps, I’ll (very!) happily cede my spot to John–he and Jody and I said similar things about storytelling, and his is much more interesting than mine! Also, he is better-looking

Actually, some of the panelists just aren’t up yet because I’ve been putting my time into getting the mp3s ready for the sessions that somehow didn’t get recorded. And this was one of them.
So the other panelists will be up soon.

As far as the videos, a big thanks to Stephen for editing them. I bet he never thought that being the magazine editor somehow also involved video.
So John is queuing up. And I’m excited to have content to post, so I’m trying to stretch it out. We may get a full week of posts yet!

Thanks for letting me know–I was sure it was just a workload-type thing, but I just wanted to make sure that there wasn’t some other reason that he wasn’t included in the bunch.

Wow! It’s kind of cool to randomly open a post and see one’s partner looking after him!
Kristine flatters, but hers fit Sunstone’s “faith seeking understanding” mission perfectly and would’ve been the most appropriate capstone to the entire session (also, she looks better on camera).
Mine was a bit of a downer. But it was an honor to speak with such Sunstone luminaries. Thanks to Mary Ellen for the opportunity, and thanks to everyone for all the extra hours you are pouring into this and the mp3s–I know that some are sacrificing sleep for this!

I grew up believing that God didn’t like those of us who were lightminded and not serious about our religion and sense of mission. Thanks, Holly, maybe God does have a sense of humor.
