Dear John,
I know you are excited about your new opportunity and challenge to revitalize Sunstone and to make it relevant to Latter-Day Saint culture. I support you in this challenge. I would like to make a suggestion. When an organization finds it influence waning, it is sometimes a good idea to make your resources, opinions and articles available for free online. This would allow your voice to be heard and to reach new converts. Then, once you find your influence growing, you can seek more funding through charging.
I would suggest you give consideration to making the magazine and conference MP3s free on-line including all the back issues. I know it goes against what Sunstone has been doing for the past decades but it has worked with many other organizations that find themselves in the same predicament. You will find yourself grateful that you did.
