How Effectively Does the Bloggernacle Represent Mormonism?
By Rory on Aug 15, 2007
The 2007 Symposium was a great four days - if you missed it, you can begin downloading sessions soon on sunstoneonline.com
In the mean time we are going to be very nice and offer up a few sessions for free. Considering the interest in the bloggernacle, this one is a no brainer. We’ve been prepping for the download and traffic, and we even upgraded to an i386 to handle the load.
So, if you care to get a taste for Symposium and listen to Kaimi Wegner and Russell Arben Fox of Times and Seasons, Kristine Haglund of By Common Consent, fmhLisa from Feminist Mormon Housewives, and our very own Matt Thurston, download away! The only thing we ask is that you not redistribute this, but direct any other downloads to this site - we’d like to keep a count. Nothing sinister. Really.

Thanks, Rory. This is great.

Aaaaaaaaaargh! Can you edit out my singing?

Edit out singing? Hmm. I’m thinking…. No.
Actually, you’ll be pleased to know that next year’s call for papers will include the instructions to sing at least a portion of the session.
Alternatively, for those who really cannot sing, they may elect to convey a portion of the paper through interpretive dance.
I really enjoyed this session, and I think that it does a good job representing the range of the LDS Blogs. Nicely done, folks!

Kristine: That would be like editing out the smile of the mona lisa!

I still love your singing Kristine, and i think it’s incredibly brave that you did that. I would very much like it however if they could edit out about half of what I said, plus all the long pauses and the “like” “um” “uh” “you know”. Listening to oneself is cruel medieval torture.

I loved the whole session, but your singing was definitely the highlight, Kristine.
Really, it was great to hear it–the next best thing to being there in person. Thanks so much for making this session available for free.

Lisa: You and Kristine were both great. Lighten up on yourselves. We all love you, so maybe you should too.
