Introducing our Newest SunstoneBlog Contributor: John Remy

John RemyWe are proud to announce our newest contributor to SunstoneBlog–John Remy!

John is a relative newcomer to Sunstone. His association began with the publication of his Brookie & D. K. Brown Fiction contest winning short story, “Ojîchan’s Funeral” in October 2002. He’s participated in annual and regional symposia since that time. In Internet-years, John is an old-time blogger: he cobbled together his own blog code to create mindonfire.com in the summer of 2001 and has maintained it, more or less faithfully, to the present. MindOnFire chronicles his roller coaster relationship with his faith over the past five years. He is married to Jana Bouck Remy, another SunstoneBlog and symposium regular, and they are the parents of two of Sunstone’s youngest attendees.

Please give John a hearty Sunstone welcome!!!

    Matt Thurston:

John: Were you at the OC MESG last weekend? You look familiar (not based on the photo above, but your photo at MindonFire.) If so, (or even if not!) I’ll introduce myself to you next time I see you. Welcome to Sunstone Blog. I’ve enjoyed your Athiest’s Prayer podcasts.

This picture is about 5 years old. Our kids have doubled in height and John’s hair is now a mass of long-ish curls. Great photo, though!
[yes, Matt, John was at the OC MESG last Friday]

    John Remy:

Bryce: thanks! Good to “see” you, Chôrô!

Matt: what Jana said–I was at the Friday night presentation. I’d love to meet you in person! I’m glad you liked the podcast. Jana and I would love any feedback you have to offer.

I’m afraid that this photo is more for personality, and less for actual physical likeness.

    Good luck, John. Chipotle rocks!
