Finally…A Female Sunstone Blogger!!!—Introducing Jana Remy

Jana Bouck Remy is a Ph.D student in American History at University of California, Irvine. She’s the Book Review Editor for Dialogue: a Journal of Mormon Thought, and recently co-edited the Southern California issue of Exponent II.

A lifelong member of the church, Jana’s Mormon roots go back to Nauvoo. She grew up in the ‘mission field’ of Tulsa, Oklahoma and has lived in California for most of her adult life. Her parents were charter subscribers of liberal LDS publications like Dialogue and Exponent II. Inheriting their unwanted stash of these magazines sparked her study of Mormonism about fifteen years ago.

A hippie at heart, Jana enjoys growing organic vegetables, crocheting items out of recycled materials, and volunteering as a local moderator for freecycle.org. She lives with John and their two school-age children.

An avid blogger, Jana posts daily to pilgrimgirl and writes bi-weekly for ExponentBlog. She’s quite flattered by the invitation to join the SunstoneBlog team.

  4. Actually, I wanted to be more enthusiastic in my last comment, but considering the previous comments consisted of only one word, it felt wrong to break the chain. I’ll break it here - it’s great to have you aboard!
